Hill, an Aboriginal law student, speaks of her family life in Bundaberg until year 10, her primary schooling, on leaving school at the end of year 12 various jobs that she undertook, her decision to enrol in Business Law at the University of Technology, Queensland, her options in studying law, her opinion of the proposed Indigenous Treaty, her attendance at the 1999 Womens Conference in Melbourne and how it changed her attitudes about women, her decision to run for President of the QUT Students' Union, her campaign based on her understanding of the issues and the duties of office, the issues included Sorry Day, the sports team, relations with the QUT Oodgeroo Indigenous Unit, voluntary student unionism, management problems, Reconcilation 2000 and Bridge walks, how to retrieve Indigenous culture, her career plans but feels the need to keep in touch with community values, her likes and dislikes, recreations and hobbies, relationships.
