- Summary:
-
"In order to support its continuous modernisation process, the Australian Army required analytical support in determining the effectiveness of their conceptual Enhanced Combat Force (set fifteen yeas ahead). Central to this is how new and emerging technologies might impact on how the land force operates, and, consequentially, how the Army's operational concepts might need to change, Agent Based Distillations (ABD) hve been employed to analyse a problem based on Manoeuvre Operations in a Littoral Environment concept. Specifically, the hypothesis tesed was whether a small, mobile force with high situational awareness coupled with effective reach-back munitions could defeat a significantly larger force. This paper illustrates the application of one such ABD, EINSTein, in support of the anlaysis of this hypothesis, and highlights the potentilal utility of ABDs for land operations analyses"--Abstract.
