Playwright. Robert Charles (Bob) Herbert worked in theatre as a playwright, actor, stage hand and stage manager and director. Three of his plays were published by Currency Press, namely, No names-- no pack drill (1980), The last wake at She-Oak Creek (1988), and, Brer Rabbit and the magic lolly cave (1989). Herbert was the uncle of Australian playwright Louis Nowra. Herbert died in Armidale, New South Wales, on 31 August 1999.
