Sir James Daniel Connolly, Kt. Cr. 1920, born Allora, Qld. 1869; he moved to W.A. in 1893, where he was engaged in contract work in Perth, Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie. He entered Kalgoorie Municipal Council 1901, M.L.C. North-East Province 1902, Colonial Secretary and Leader of Legislative Council in Moore and Wilson Ministries 1906-1911, M.L.C. again 1916-1917. Agent-General in London for W.A. 1917-1924. Agent-General for Malta 1929-1932. Died 2 Feb. 1962. See also Who's Who 1962.
