"This work contains details of clergymen of the Protestant, Roman Catholic, and Jewish faiths. There is also one Christian Israelite (John Wroe) ... criteria for inclusion of clergymen is that they must have arrived in the Port Phillip District of New South Wales (now Victoria) prior to the 1 July 1851 [sic]. No distinction is made concerning how long they stayed here. Some visited the colony only briefly, others were here for decades"--introduction.
