This bibliometric analysis is the third study undertaken by the Research Evaluation and Policy Project (REPP) for the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). It refines previous studies by identifying the publication output attributable to individual NHMRC research grant schemes. The citation performance of publications linked to each scheme are analysed and compared to other Australian medical and health sciences research, providing one measure of the effectiveness of the NHMRC's schemes.
