Leslie Clement Haylen (1899-1977) was son of the late T. Haylen he was M.H.R. (Lab.) for Parkes, N.S.W., 1943-1963. He is a playwright and novelist. Plays include Two minutes silence, Change of policy (1934), Freedom has a beard (1937), Blood upon the wattle (1946), The stormy blast - Vietnam (1966). Novels include The game Darrells (1935), The brierley rose (1936), Brown boy singing (1940), New Guinea newsreel (1945), Chinese journey (1961), A for Artemis (1962), Big red (1965), Twenty years hard Labor (memoirs, 1968).
