Summary

The collection consists of recordings relating to the Irish contribution to Australian culture and cultural identity.

Biography/History

Anne O'Connor is an Irish folklorist working at the Department of Irish Folklore, University College, Dublin. In 1985 O'Connor received a scholarship under the Australian-European Awards Programmme to research the transfer of Irish folk tradition to Australia from the beginning of settlement to the mid-twentieth century.
