Biography/History

Julian Salomons migrated to Australia in 1853 and was called to the Bar in 1861. He became one of Sydney's leading lawyers and was appointed Chief Justice in 1886, but resigned before being sworn in. He held office in various new South Wales governments between 1869 and 1893.
