Memoirs detailing the author's life in the Narrigon and Gwalia regions of Western Australia and, after the Second World War, on the Woolianna property on the Daly River in the Northern Territory. Includes details of her relations with the local Aboriginal people of the Daly River region. There are also accounts of Morris's trips around Australia with her friend Marion in the late 1980s.

Nonie W. Morris, grew up in the Narrigon region of Western Australia. At the age of 16 Morris went to the University of Sydney to study veterinary science. Morris later married and lived in the Gwalia region of Western Australia. In 1939 she joined the Royal Australian Women's' Auxiliary Air Force. After World War II, Morris and her husband moved to the Woolianna property on the Daly River in the Northern Territory. After the death of her second husband, Bill, in 1985, Morris sold Woolianna and travelled around Australia.
