Typescript copy, autographed and annotated by the author, of "Open spaces, or, Bush fire", a play in four acts. Also a typescript copy, in three volumes, of "Intrigue, or, The Spanish letter"; with a programme, copy of a reject letter and notices from London Press, attached to the flyleaves.

Henry (Harry) Tighe, was an Honorary Member of the Institut Litteraire et Artistique de France and a holder of the Institute's Silver Medal for literature. He was educated in Sydney and Cambridge after which he became an author, trustee of the childrens library movement in N.S.W. and contributor to journals on art, travel and the theatre. Some sixteen of his novels deal with the psychology of women in different spheres.
