Gordon was removed from her family at the age of 4. She describes living conditions at Sister Kate's Children's Home, Perth where she lived until the age of 18 when she joined the Army. Gordon also talks about being reunited with her mother, and her work as Western Australian Commissioner of Aboriginal Planning and later as a Magistrate in the Children's Court. She expresses her views on the juvenile justice system, the Reconciliation process, and the issue of compensation for separated families.
