Letter 22.1.47: written whilst Dobson was employed by Angus & Robertson, Sydney, thanking Lindsay for his comments on her poem "The Ship of Ice", and discussing its theme and her interest in the alliance between poetry and art (2 p.). Letter 14.2.48: composed on a working holiday in London and mentioning contact made with Philip and Jack Lindsay, the excitement and stresses of London life, the beginnings of a long poem, and plans for other writing and travel, including her wish to return to Australia to write (1 p.).
