Summary

Lecture entitled "The Church and Labour" delivered in the Chapter House of St Paul's Cathedral. Written on verso of Hansard proofs, 1920. Also includes an extract from the Brunswick sentinal, 1938 Nov. 9 concerning Anstey's comments on Commonwealth defence.

Biography/History

Politician. Member, Victorian Legislative Parliament, 1902-1910; member, House of Representatives 1910-1934. Deputy leader, Australian Labor Party, 1922 and Minister for Health and Repatriation, 1929-1931.
