- "Early drafts of Nichi-Gō kankeishi produced by ICHIKAWA Taijiro in early 1950 & later. The book eventually saw the light of day in 1971 as Nichi-Gō tsūshō gaikōshi under the nominal authorship of Narita Katsushirō, but ghost written by one of ICHIKAWA's (publisher Shinhyōron) There are useful chapters & tables in the drafts that do NOT appear in the published volume D. Sissons 2/1/91" -- Handwriting note attached by David Sissons.

- Bound copy of unpublished draft photocopied, and it includes a chapter called "Nichi-Gō kōsaishi no shosokumen" which is not included in "Nichi-Gō tsūshō gaikōshi" (1971).

The book eventually saw the light of day in 1971 as 日豪通商外交史 under the nominal authorship of 成田勝四郎, but ghost written by one of ICHIKAWA's (publisher 新評論) There are useful chapters & tables in the drafts that do NOT appear in the published volume D.
