Six letters from Casey to his father, and one to both his parents, 1910-1913. Most of these were written when Casey was a student at Trinity College, Cambridge. One is from Arizona and describes Casey's work as a mining engineer. (Folder 1 ). Typescript of an early student essay on the Mt Morgan Mine, Qld; photograph portrait of the young Casey in uniform; and text of a 1940 Casey radio broadcast "What Australia thinks". (Folder 2). Four condolence letters and one telegram to Casey and and his mother, 1919 on the death of R. G. Casey Snr. Authors include W. Birdwood, J. Monash and A. R. Bruce. (Folder 3).

Lord Casey had a varied political career that included mining engineer, Federal Treasurer, Minister of State in the British War Cabinet, and Minister for External Affairs (1951-1960). He was Governor of Bengal, 1944-1946 and Australian Governor-General, 1965-1969.
