Correspondence, diaries, notebooks and lecture notes. The collection chiefly portrays Gregory's life as an internee during the Pacific War. Gregory's diary of a trip to Russia in 1922-1923 is also included.

Stanley O. Gregory was a Quaker bookseller resident in Shanghai prior to the outbreak of the World War 11. He was interned by the Japanese at Pootsing camp and later at Lunghwa. He was repatriated to Australia.
