Our opening hours will be changing between Tuesday 24 December 2019 and Wednesday 1 January 2020.

All reading rooms will be closed from Christmas Day, reopening on 2 January. But you’ll still be able to visit our Exhibition Galleries, our children’s holiday space, WordPlay, and Bookshop from 9am-5pm (except on Christmas Day).Bookplate café will also be open during this period, but with varied hours.

Describes the finding and identification of the original printer's copy used for the typesetting of the 2nd edition of John Hawkesworth's official account of Cook's first voyage. Includes a copy of an article from the Bibliographic Society of Australia and New Zealand Bulletin in which Brian McMullin details the bibliographic differences between the 1st and 2nd editions of Hawkesworth's Account of the voyages. Also contains 215 images from Volume 2 and 203 images from v. 3 of The Hawkesworth copy.
