Sir Keith Waller born in Melbourne; educated Scotch College, Melbourne and Melbourne University. Joined the Department of External Affairs in 1936, was Private Secretary to Rt. Hon. W. M. Hughes 1837-40. Australian Ambassador to Moscow 1960-62, to Thailand 1957-60 to Washington 1964-70, Secretary of Foreign Affairs 1970-74.
