- Biography/History:

Journalist and historian. As a journalist, Robert Langdon worked for the Pacific Islands monthly, 1962-1967. In 1968 he became the first executive officer of the Pacific Manuscripts Bureau (PMB) at the Australian National University. This position involved selecting collections of Pacific papers for a large microfilming project for member libraries. After retirement he was appointed a Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University. Langdon died on 27 September, 2003.
