Notes

No Spanish original of Coreal's voyages is known and the identity of the author has been questioned. cf. Nouvelle biog. générale, t. 11.

Statement by Cailleau dated 19th May 1722 in v.1, p. [6] mentions that Pissot, d'Espilly and other named publishers have royal privilege to publish. It is probable the Coreal work published in 1722 by these publishers including Cailleau is bibliographically the same work.
