Rick Carey, born in 1937 talks about his days as a travelling showman with his late wife Thel; his friendship with the late Slim Dusty and his wife Joy; sharing a house with them in the early days; his love of comedy; the comedy routines used in the travelling shows and how the routines developed. Some of these routines can be traced back to early Music Hall days; he sings a few of his early songs with Sid Hewitt.
