The three women talk about Jandamurra (Pigeon), an Indigenous leader of the 1890's and his relationship to various language groups. They speak about the legends of their people that have been passed on and sing songs in language from their childhood in the Kimberley.

Lucy Marshall, her sister Jenny Warbie and friend Daisy Longunan are Indigenous women now living in the Broome/Derby area of Western Australia. All are speakers of various local Indigenous language dialects and have memories of traditions and customs. The three Elders were raised in the traditional manner and have a vast knowledge of local folklore.
