- Entered by Evans under the publishers, Thomas and John Fleet, whose names also appear in earlier issues as editors of the Register. The present Thomas is the son of Thomas the elder, who died in March, 1797.
- The almanac is by Nathanael Low. The page on eclipses and the transit of Mercury duplicates that in his An astronomical diary or almanack for 1799 (also published by Fleet) but for two slight omissions. The calculations on the calendar pages are identical in the two almanacs, except that those for the moon's phases are here abbreviated. The weather predictions and astronomical notes on these pages tend to correspond, except that as usual their number is reduced om the Pocket almanac.
