Folkloric recording. 1. Peter recalls his father as a wheat farmer in Calabria, how he learnt to play the organetto (squeeze box), describes local instruments such as the guitar, bagpipes, flute and tamborine, how the pipes are tuned to the organetto. 2. Music: Unidentified tune (first tune he learnt from his uncle). 3. Music: Tarantella tune (learnt from his uncle). 4. Music: Unidentified tune. 5. How he cannot sing & play simultaneously, at fiestas Tarantella tunes can be played just on the drums. 6. Music:Tarantella tune. 7. Music: Donna Tita tarantella. 8. Music: Tarantella tune(using bellows). 9. Explains the use of the bellows & how to use the 3 extra buttons on the organetto. 10. Music: Unidentified tune (organetto with extra 3 buttons). 11. Music: Unidentified tune (organetto without the extra buttons). 12. Music: Unidentified song. 13. Music: Tarantella tune (on bagpipes).

Explains how music is composed using bass rhythms, how after coming to Australia in 1950 the need to work for his family interfered with his playing of music, how he took a job with a mining company in Broken Hill where he played music as a recreation, how he eventually brought his parents to Australia, how his family always supplied him with organettos. 15. Music: Tarantella tunes (various). 16. How he learnt to play organetto at age 12, how he learnt new tunes. 17. Music: Reggitana (from the Reggio region in Calabria). 18.How he learnt to play the tambourine.
