- Military sketches of selected sections of land by the type of entrenchments made by the British IX Battery on the outskirts of the Russian town of Sebastopol in the Ukraine at the time of the year-long siege by the French and the British of 1854-1855 during the Crimean War. The map shows the type of damage the IX Battery and others was able to do to Russian defences and to the city of Sebastopol in general. Limited relief is shown by shading.
