"Barritt Street Kambah at 1810 hrs, 18:01:2003. Properties adjacent to shrubby woodland reserves fared badly, as the ground and fine elevated shrub fuels, desiccated by drought and low humidity, produced intense and fast moving fires that ran straight into gardens that because of water restrictions suffered almost the same level of dryness as the drought stricken forests"--Note from the photographer.
