- Summary:
-
"Stromlo Forestry settlement at 1300 hr, 19:01:03. In time, Nature, after a few good rains will be seen to repair itself and flush the countryside with a velvety green; but to see the homes, lives and works of man wrecked on such a scale crushes one's soul. Stromlo forestry settlement was once a friendly ramshackle collection of buildings and homes that was well done over and rendered a shambled junkyard amid stark and lifeless pine trees"--Note from the photographer.
