- Summary:
-
'The Hand that Signed the Paper', by Helen Demidenko, a supposedly true account of a Ukranian family's involvement in the Holocaust and the winner of the 1996 Miles Franklin Award, is exposed as a hoax when the author, real name Helen Darville, is revealed as having made it all up. Darville, an odd person to say the least, would hardly be disappointed at the outcome, you might think.--Information provided by Geoff Pryor.
