Cameron talks about his family background; schooling at Thornleigh and Pennant Hills; political activity at university and move to Bathurst for teacher training at Mitchell College of Advanced Education (CAE) and his involvement in student politics. He then talks about leaving CAE in 1974 and joining Dept of Social Security in 1975 which he left in 1988 to return to Bathurst. Cameron then discusses his music; PACT folk club in Sydney; starting to sing; fomation of 8 Mile Swamp Creek Bush Band; influence of Melbourne Bushwackers; dance repertoire and attitude of crowds to early "bush bands". He then talks about the Daggy Swaggy folk club, Bathurst and his role in the club; his radio program; involvement as an administrator in NSW folk clubs; Australian Folk Trust; folk festivals and changes in the folk scene.
