Lewis Fiander, born 1938 in Kew, Victoria, got his first acting role at 14 with the Australian National Theatre Movement in Melbourne. He moved to Sydney when 18 and worked in radio, television and theatre. In 1961, he went to London with the Elizabethan Theatre Trust and stayed in England for the next twenty years, working in theatre, film and television. He returned to Australia in the 1990s and continues to work in theatre.
