Black & white reproduction of a drawing of James Cook's meeting with Australian Aborigines at Adventure Bay, Tasmania in Jan. 1777 during his third voyage of the Pacific. Below the title is an extract from Cook's log outlining their meeting with "about twenty" men and boys, their behaviour towards Cook's landing party and appearance, and Cook's gifts to them.
