- "The following recommendation of this work has been given by a number of eminent divines. Recommendation."--p. [2]. Signed: Ashbel Green, D.D. [and seven others] Philadelphia, May 13th, 1810.
- "The publishers respectfully request all those who have charge of subscription papers, to be punctual in returning the number of subscribers they may have obtained, at furthest by the first of January 1811 ... to B.B. Hopkins and Co. n.w. corner of Chesnut and Sixth-Streets, or William M'Corkle, no. 120 South Second-Street, Philadelphia."--p. [2].
- Apparently an insufficient number of subscriptions were received to encourage publication at this time. Three volumes of The collateral Bible (Shoemaker 23764), covering the Old Testament, were eventually published in 1826 by Samuel F. Bradford at Philadelphia, and E. Bliss & E. White in New York.
