MS Acc06.141 comprises an extensive collection of correspondence between Russell Drysdale and Dom Serventy from 1958-1980. The bulk of the letters in this collection are from Drysdale to Serventy and many contain references to his art. There are occasional carbon copies of Serventy's letters to Drysdale together with several cuttings, relating to Drysdale's art (1 box).

Dom Serventy (1904-1988), an ornithologist and Russell Drysdale, an artist, first met in 1958. It was the beginning of a warm and enduring friendship.
