Summary

"The RTA established its Oral History Program in 1997 to investigate various topics of historical interest. Building bridges - Lawrence Hargrave Drive (Part 2) is the 11th thematic oral history to be undertaken as part of the program ... This oral history project was based on 15 hours of digitally recorded interviews with those involved in the planning, design, construction and naming of Sea Cliff Bridge. This report ... tracks the design and construction phase of the bridge through to the opening ceremony on Sunday 11 December 2005. It includes transcripts of the official speeches, and comments from a number of local residents and school children walking the bridge for the first time. "--Summary report, preliminary leaf.
