Summary

Intriguing story of Liz, an Australian, apparently of French descent, who, bored with her routine job and dead-end relationship, returns to Provence. Following an accident in Paris, she begins to explore her French roots ; she also meets Ralph, who is also coming to terms with his identity. This story is linked with a telling of the arrival of the Australian Aboriginal people in prehistoric Australia.
