Zora Semberova, talks about her early interest in dance, theatre and concern for truthful expression; her family's interests in the arts; her early professional dance experience; modern dance classes with Rosalia Chladek, the music used and themes explored in her work; returning to Czechoslovakia to dance as a soloist, dancing in Ivo Vana Psota's 'Romeo and Juliet'; dances in which she performed as a soloist; traditional ballets in which she performed; Sasa Machov; the closing of the Brno Theatre during the WWII; dancing with the Prague National Theatre; her salary while dancing and teaching; coming to Australia (1968) and teaching at Flinders University; her involvement in the translation of Jarmila Kroschlova's 'Movement Theory And Practice'; Jiri Kylian; her students at Flinders University and teaching with Yutaka Wada; conducting workshops; her marriage and her daughter; her first impressions of Adelaide; colleagues at Flinders University; Wal Cherry; her involvement with the Czech community in Adelaide; her philosophy of teaching.
