Important photographs from the European, American and Australian photography collections of the National Gallery of Australia. The exhibition included works by Bill Brandt, Viscountess Frances Jocelyn, Athol Shmith, Edward Weston, Albert Renger-Patzsch, Anton Bruehl, Olive Cotton, Ansel Adams, Max Dupain, and František Drtikol, and Douglas T. Kilburn's photograph of three Aboriginal people of Port Phillip, said to be among the early surviving photographic records of Aboriginal people.
