Ian Johnston, a musician, singer, raconteur and yarnspinner, talks about his life and family background; his musical interests; musical influences he gained from being part of a community known as the 'river rats' (a fringe settlement on the banks of the Murray River); his time with the Wedderburn Oldtimers dance band. He plays music on his accordion and other instruments. He sings songs learnt in his youth.
