Summary

Long-standing variety magazine. Contains opinion pieces, cartoons, music and movie news, religious features, creative writing, astrology, etc. Owned and published by the army at its inception and after 1962 transferred to the News and Periodical Corporation of the Ministry of Information. Remains under army editorship. The name of the magazine is from Myawaddy Mingyi U Sa, Lord of Myawaddy, a soldier and diplomat who was also renowned for his writing of poetry, prose and theatre. This magazine is an instrument of psychological warfare to voice the interest of the military.
