Nimanydja Daphne Ganambarr was born in 1953 and is a respected senior member of the Milingimbi community. Daphne was one of the first Yolgnu students to complete secondary school in 1969. She went on to a long and distinguished career as teacher/linguist. Daphne has translated the rules of football in to the local Aboriginal language so the rules can be better understood.
