- Summary:
-
This paper archived from the Web site of Queensland Health, who commissioned this project in March 2004. The focus of this project is on the functions and skills of the workforce responsible for public and environmental health at the local government level, along with issues related to recruitment and retention of a suitably skilled workforce across the range of local government situations in Queensland. This study is of particular relevance to rural, remote and indigenous communities where the problem of attracting a suitably skilled workforce is greatest. In undertaking the project, a strong emphasis was placed on consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
