Notes

Planning map of proposed reclamation, Castle Peak, New Territories, Hong Kong. This was one of many schemes to resettle refugees following fires in squatter camps in the early 1950s which left thousands homeless. This portion of a much larger scheme shows the location of proposed public services: bus terminus, fire station, sanitation (shown as N.S., i.e. 'night soil') and H.K.L.M. (Hong Kong Local Market?)
