George is a descendent of the Yirrganydji, Wakaman and Birri Gia Tribes. He lived on two Cairns Aboriginal Reserves from 1948 to 1959 and learnt his tribal culture from his father and other tribal Elders. He has been documenting rainforest Aboriginal culture, and cultural sites in Yirrganydji country.
