This collection consists of recordings of interviews with and performances by folklorists living in New South Wales and Victoria. They perform recitations, folk music, folk songs, jokes and yarns.
- Biography/History:

These recordings were made by Kenneth S. Goldstein, an American folklorist, educator and author during a visit to Australia, Dec. 1982 and Jan. 1983. He was assisted by John Marshall, who has extensive knowledge and experience in recording oral history and folklife. Marshall went on to continue the project after Goldstein left Australia. Kel Watkins also assisted with several recordings.
