Summary

Folkloric recording. Dave Mathias and Beryl McNamara are brother and sister. They talk about Kate Kelly (sister of Ned Kelly) and her husband Bricky (Bill) Foster. Dave Mathias talks about the Foster family; the names of the brothers; the house the family lived in; a feud between the brothers; Artie Foster (Bill's brother) being in love with Kate Kelly; Kate and a Bohemian doctor; Kate's early death; Kate's children being taken by their uncle Jim Kelly (Ned's brother); charges against Jim Kelly. Beryl McNamara speaks about learning to dance; her father's role as an M.C.; novelty dances; balls at the Town Hall; no alcohol at dances and dance M.Cs.
