Pamela Denoon worked to promote equality for women and was the National Coordinator of the Women's Electoral Lobby from 1982-1984. The Pamela Denoon Trust was established with her bequest in 1988 as a contribution to improve the status of women by providing funds for research and education projects. These included a donation to the Ryan/Conlan fund investigating the effects of enterprise bargaining on women and the provision of bursaries for young Papua New Guinea women to finish their schooling. The Trust has now been wound up.
