A satirical poem on Sir Joseph Banks (Opano to the indigenous) and his amorous affairs with Queen Oberea of Otaheite (Tahiti) during Captain James Cook's first voyage 1768-1771 purported to be written in Banks' own voice. Many imitations followed including two sequels by Scott-Waring.
