Andrews discusses her early life, her career as a chemist, and as a ballerina with Borovansky Ballet, her interest in social dancing, and the writing of her book Take Your Partners. She speaks of working at Commonwealth Serum Labs; the "Myxo" correspondence in Singabout magazine in the 1950s; dancing with Margaret Walker's group Unity Dance Group; her search for Australian folk dances; the Jacaranda Dance; Youth Festival in Eastern Europe; Folklore Society of Victoria; John Manifold's book launch; the sale of the Bulletin to Frank Packer; Miles Maxwell the singer and the Victorian Bush Music Club. She describes how she discovered social dancing and learnt to dance the sets; the Victorian Folklore Society and the discovery of Nariel music and dancing; dances used in Moomba; Oldtime Dance Club; and collecting dances at weekends.
