- This card game is also known as 'Ogura hyakunin isshu'.
- The selection of poems entitled 'Ogura hyakuni isshu' was assembled in 13th century. The card game set like this became populra in Edo period (17th ~), once the woodblock printing became established.
- Half of the cards are with the first half of the poems and portraits of poets who created the poems; the other half of the cards have the latter half of the poems; some cards are decorated with silver leaf; title of the work taken from the publishers catalogue; the set of cards boxed in a wooden box of 14.6 (w) x 10.9 (d) x 13.5 (h) cm.
